iPhone in Reno!
Yes, even out here in the high desert the iPhone mania has taken over. Mona and I took off to the Apple Store to catch all the excitement. As tempting as it was to stand in line for 12 hours to get an iPhone, I was able to resist... for now:-)
The Apple Store is the building on the far left of the picture. The line wound all the way to the Old Navy store. Mona lost interest and went into Old Navy to shop. Fortunately for you, I stayed out to capture the excitement:-)
The local television station was there to cover the action.
It was only fitting that security would be riding around on a Segway equipped with off road tires. That's Mona between the cars.
The crowd counted down, the doors opened and in they went.
This was the second person out of the store with an iPhone. Each person was receiving a round of applause. It was quite the spectacle. About a half hour later, the line was still about as long as in the first picture as people kept showing up. I will have to watch the news tomorrow to see if they sold out and how many people were able to purchase the iPhone.
