Spring Break:-)
Yes, indeed things have been a bit busy! Evals are due, taxes are due, and we are starting to work on our Title I Schoolwide plan. And then, just to keep things from getting boring, I had to have a bit of outpatient surgery done just before spring break. So, easing my way back into full swing has been my spring break project. Mona and I went on a few short trips and I took some pictures just to prove I am alive and well:-)
As you head over the mountains toward Virginia City, You can look back and see the valley below. You can see one of the taller casinos near the right center of the picture.
You can see all the way across the valley to the skiing mountains on the west.
And here is Virginia City. One long street of historic buildings. It is a big biker draw for those sunny rides along the winding highway.
You can zip around Lake Tahoe and end up in Squaw Valley in about 45 minutes. I think I would have taken up skiing or snowboarding if had grown up around here. It was about 65 degrees. Everyone was walking around in T-shirts and ski pants, enjoying drinks at the many cafes at the base of the hill. Then they'd hop on the lift and do some more skiing. What a life:-)
